3D Designing Text in a 3D Modeling Software
Introduction
Creating 3D texts is sometimes challenging when one doesn’t have the right tools with them. With programs like SelfCAD, it’s easier than ever before to create any 3D text regardless of its complexity. This article covers the Two Ways to 3D Design text. We are going to use both Freehand Drawing as well as 3D Sketching tools.
1. Starting With Freehand Tool:
Step 1: Choose the Freehand tool from the Drawing Category (F+B). In the Tool Panel Activate the Text (F+T).

Step 2: In the 3D Text put the wordings that you want to 3D Design.
We are going to set “I want to Eat Chocolate but I am on a diet".

Align the text, by going to the Text Align section. In our case, we shall choose Center.

Set Snap To Grid Vertices to True in the Precision Setting.

In the Height setting, set the Height of the 3D text to 20. This will give the 3D Look to the Text then finalize the Freehand Drawing.

Start drawing the design on the workpace. If you don't like the Font type, you can choose the one to use in the Font section.

Step 3: Making the 3D Text Look like a 3D Design
With the use of the Add Thickness Tool (M+A), make the text look like a 3D Design.

You can then close the design.

We are Done!
If you would like to 3D Print the design, you can use the in-built online slicer of SelfCAD to do so.

Enjoy powerful modeling, rendering, and 3D printing tools without the steep learning curve.
