Creating Intricate Designs with SelfCAD's Twist Tool: A Step-by-Step Tutorial

The Twist tool in SelfCAD is a powerful deformation tool designed to impart a twisting or spiraling effect to selected parts of a 3D object. It allows users to rotate specific sections of their models around a defined axis, introducing dynamic and intricate details to enhance the overall design. You can create a flower vase in SelfCAD by using modeling tools like Twist tool to shape and design it.

In this tutorial, you'll learn to use the Twist tool to make a unique vase. You can check the interactive tutorial to learn how to do it. To begin, start by launching the software and open the workspace:

Remember to explore and experiment with different tools and features in SelfCAD to add your unique touch to the flower vase. This guide provides a basic outline, but you can customize your design based on your preferences and creative ideas. After designing your file, you can use the in-built online slicer of SelfCAD to slice your files and generate the G-code to send to your 3D printer. The video below shows how to slice your 3D models in SelfCAD.
